Annapachi
I was actually going for a Ganesh line drawing for the middle but decided on an annapachi. Copied the basic design from one of my sarees then modified it to make it my design.

I love the blue pink combination in this - but I shouldn't have used red and yellow for the side designs, looks unbalanced.

Oh yes it took a long time to do - especially the annapachi coz of all the small lines. My back nearly went to sleep.

Ur tanglish is so different from mine, that i was wondering what the hell was annapachi..;-) Figured out it was the swan... Awesome work..:)

How do u put the powder onto the kolam? Is it stroke by stroke with ur hand only, or using something like a seive/tea filter? Coz it looks reallllly smooth..:)

Nithya : lol so ppl tell me ;)

thanks - we don't get the powder here and the powder gives a dull colour when mixed with rice. Thats actually rice and poster colour

and applied it with hand only - its painstaking - especially the small lines. Actually took me 7 hours including breaks every hour

Came through Sundar's blog. Annapachi...... is it the name of the design. Looks like you have lots of patience. Great designs and artistic work. It reminds of my sister's works.

Keep it up.
